North Carolina Ferry的点评
点评：We went from Hatteras to Ocracoke at 2pm and were told there would be a ferry returning at 6, 6:30, 7, 8, and 9 pm. We were back at the ferry at 6:30.
We waiting until 8:30. A man on a golf cart was counting cars. He did this about 3 times. He told us at one point we were #35. No movement from the moment we got there. At 8:30 he told us we would not be leaving the island.
We were a party of 6 adults and a baby. The baby didn't have enough formula for an overnight stay, or diapers. I sleep with a machine which is a necessity. Every motel was closed.
We finally contacted an emergency line at the Pony and he kindly came back and gave us rooms. There were around 60 vehicles of people stuck there. We barely made it to the store 10 minutes before it closed. The store only supplies 2 formulas. A travel toothpaste was $3.
After spending $1200 for motels and needed items, we were back up at 5am to get back. All of this for 6hrs in vehicles, scrambling, scared, and concerned, for what? Dinner… Diabolical!!!!!
