Ok visit but maybe not worth out of the way journey

点评：Other reviews are a bit unfair. It is small and quiet but that is apparent from its listings. But there are some elements of truth to it. Very convenient if you are in the hotels either side of it or your hotel is expensive and you want some cheaper snacks and eats. But I wouldn’t make a special trip to see this. Convenient for the convenience stores. Mustafa is ok but unless you are in dire need of retail therapy can likely be limited to its local produce section. But try and get some of the snack type items from the little shop at the end by the beach to pump money into smaller business. Also there are little hawker type shops which only appear to open at weekend. Timing is everything.
There's a nice bar beachside but actually over-priced - beers were more expensive than my hotel rates. Would have stayed for a few but there's nothing to entice you to stay. Which sums up the overall place.
Also from limited experience this is weekend or event venue. Were there for the Tour de Bintan whose logistical centre was setup at the Plaza. Whether or not this was coincidental over the weekend, there were ad hoc marquees setup in addition to the hawker stalls. Some nice additions to the place.
Go without expectations and you'll be ok. See my above comment re: beach bar prices - this place needs something to get hotel residents to make the trip. We only went as we were 5 min walk. Any further and its not worth trip.
