Fascinating tour with a wonderful guide

点评：Ivana’s led a lovely two hour tour of the city. The tool was very well paced so it certainly didn’t feel that we had been on our feet for two hours.
Ivana is a natural guide: she is engaging, humorous, knowledgeable, and passionate. By the end of the tour everyone had expanded the knowledge of Zagreb and Croatia enormously including ancient history, modern history and culture. I had even learned a few words of Croatian which I put into practice over the following 24 hours that we were in the country.
The old town is reasonably compact and so it was possible to see a huge amount during the tour. Ivana was also very good at signposting things that we could return to later as well as other tips such as where to eat and drink.
She also showed us things that we simply would not have seen or known for ourselves, such as where the river used to run, separating the two times that were joined together to form Zagreb.
The tour is free and we gave Ivana a EUR20 tip each because it was really worth it. There were about 10 other people on the tour as well and I hope they did similar. I would definitely book a tour like this again and thoroughly recommend it
