Wonderful evening of poetry and comedy at The Poly
The Poly的点评
点评：Went to see Robin Ince's "Ice Cream for a Broken Tooth" poetry show last night and had a brilliant time. The performance was funny, moving and thought-provoking, exactly what I hoped for.
The Poly itself is a gem. Comfortable seating (important for a 2-hour show!), beautiful venue with real character, and the acoustics were spot on. Staff and volunteers were all lovely, friendly and helpful, clearly passionate about what they do.
I arrived early and enjoyed browsing the shop and exhibition whilst waiting. Worth getting there with time to spare as there's plenty to see and it adds to the whole experience. Cafe & Bar is well worth a stop too, although I didn't this time.
Looking through their programme I've already spotted several other shows and workshops I want to book. Thinking about trying one of the pottery courses too, seems like a great way to learn something new in such a welcoming space.
Highly recommend The Poly whether you're after live performance, workshops, or just a lovely creative space to visit. I'll definitely be back.

浏览他们的节目单时，我已经发现了好几个想预订的演出和工作坊。我还想尝试一下陶艺课程，感觉在这样一个温馨舒适的空间里学习新技能是个不错的选择。
