Great Morning Excursion
Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park的点评
点评：I visited with my Husband on a sunny Sunday in March. We had booked the Deer Meadow experience which meant we could access the park ahead of the 'public' opening time and got to chat 1-2-1 with the keeper hosting the experience (Harry). The experience included standard park entry and a breakfast bap and coffee. A standard adult ticket is £14 each and the coffee and bap would be ~£12 each (so a total of £52 for two adults). The deer experience was £65 (for 2 people) so I feel that this is a GREAT deal to get 1-2-1 time with a keeper and face to face time with the deer herd. Harry was knowledgeable and chatty and made us feel very comfortable meeting the deer herd.
There was a rather large children's birthday party being hosted on the same day but, as the weather was good, we sat outside and away from the noise to eat & drink. If the weather had been bad, I think it would have been very loud and overwhelming to sit inside (fortunately, this was not our experience!).
As our ticket included standard park entry we were able to wander around at our leisure for the rest of the morning and see all the other animals. My one very small criticism would be that the signage for animals you CAN feed and animals you CANNOT feed is a bit sparse - for example, an enclosure that has 3 sides facing paths only has a 'Please don't feed me' sign on ONE side. I got caught out a couple of times as I simply didn't walk past a sign until after I'd already fed the animal. I think placing a sign on each side of the enclosure that the public can walk past would be a helpful amendment (for us and the animals!)
