点评：Pleasant way to spend a few hours and learn about the history of the highlands. It’s not a castle in the true sense of the word but they go at great lengths to explain this - it’s a museum inside an old courthouse. £22 included audio guide. There are plenty of staff on site to assist you as you walk around and they have tried hard to make the experience interactive and imaginative. It’s relatively new and I’m sure it will continue to develop and evolve. They have tried hard in 2 rooms to use modern technology (video/lighting) to create immersive experiences, but having experienced these done better (Van Gough experience/framesless) I think there are some tweaks to be done. Not sure it would keep children entertained.
However, there was also a tapestry display on the top floor of the north tower and that really was incredible and each of the tapestries were so well made and really beautiful to admire.
