A Magical Cruise on a Dahabiya

点评：I was looking for a Nile R. cruise that wasn’t on one of those 200-500 passenger barges. Our experience on smaller ships like Viking were great but we were a group of 6-10 friends that were wanting a small personal tour away from the crowds. After an extensive internet search and contacting two or three companies directly, I had a good feeling about ETB and their representative Asmaa Ali. They were flexible to our needs; a 4-5 night cruise on a smaller Dahabiya and our rather uncertain head count.
This company put us on a special charter Dahabiya cruise, on the Nile R. They were absolutely outstanding. The company communicated from the time we decided to take a cruise until we were safely at our next destination. We couldn’t have asked for more. I’m so glad we didn’t take a cruise on one of the big Nile Cruise barges.
We chartered the Dahabiya Ikadoly from Luxor to Aswan. Four nights and five days. We were a party of six in four cabins (of the eight available). The boat is an older boat but still in good condition. Everything worked. The crew was fantastic, always there to help.
Our daily excursions were always handled without a hitch. Their vans were clean and spacious. Guides were excellent.
I would use them again for any trip I was taking to Egypt. A special thank you to Mr. Hany, the company rep. in Luxor and Aswan. He was always available with a helping hand.
ETB made this a magical trip. In retrospect, we should have used them for our entire Egypt tour.
