Avoid the ATVs (didn’t go faster than 5 mph)

点评：We were excited to ATV in Costa Rica but this was a very disappointing tour. We (4 adults and 4 kids (ages 7 through 11) ) went out with about 8 other people. The had us go in a line and put the slowest driver from another group in front of the line. We drove around at about 5 mph (barely faster than an idle) as that is the speed the first driver was going. It was a very boring 1.5 hours for all of us.
The only good part of the slow speed was that 2 of our ATVs did not have rear brakes that worked. When we mentioned it to the guide he said to just use the front brake. We didn’t end us using our brakes much as we were going so slow we could just let go of the gas and would come to a stop.
Only reason I didn’t give it 1 star was we went to the animal rescue after and the kids got to feed some wild monkeys carrots which they enjoyed.
Overall, we did about 10 activities in Costa Rica and this was our least favorite. The disappointing part was that it could have been fun if they just reordered the people so we could have gone faster than i could jog on the ATVs (felt like we were on a 1.5 hour pony ride). Other than the monkey feeding, it was a waste of a morning in Costa Rica.
