A must do for Smiths and modern history fans

点评：What an excellent set-up the Salford Lads club is. We visited to get a photo at the iconic doors and waited for the free tour (11am on Saturday). A really lovely lady opened up a little earlier for us and we were then met with a very kind and knowledgeable gentleman who gave us an introduction to the history of the building and explained the current operation of the lads and girls club. It was enchanting to hear the origins of this fabulous place and all the associations with celebs! We were then handed over to another volunteer who took us to the Smiths room. Truly excellent. The history behind this club is fascinating and the tour guides were so engaging and passionate about what they do. My partner especially loved the original flooring on the indoor pitch especially as Busby Babe Eddie Coleman had once played here! Couldn’t rate this place highly enough. Everyone was fantastic and it was a really wholesome visit. Well done to all involved,
