点评:We visited as a couple in early June. An interesting find and well worth the €10 entrance fee. The villa is very large with lots of reconstructed rooms over the top of original 1940’s excavations that stand about 2/3 foot from the floor. A number of original Roman antiques from the villa on display including remnants of painted frescoes and mosaic floors. As others have stated - having invested heavily in reconstructing the villa - I am at a loss as to why the Greek Authorities would allow a significant amount of pigeons to infest the internal areas leaving large piles of guano to build up all over the place (there’s so much of it you need to step over the piles that have been created from the birds nesting in the reconstructed eaves of the building) and seep into the historically valuable frescoes?? Such a shame but still worth a visit.
