Great for Photos, but Best if You’re Already Nearby

点评：We walked through Rue Crémieux on our first evening in Paris after checking into our hotel near Gare de Lyon. It’s a charming, colorful residential street that’s become popular for Instagram photos, and it’s easy to see why. The brightly painted homes make for a unique backdrop that’s different from many other parts of Paris.
That said, it’s a fairly quick stop and not a major attraction. If you’re already in the area, it’s worth taking a 10–15 minute walk down the street, but I wouldn’t recommend traveling across the city just to see it.
If you’re visiting during the summer, be mindful that people actually live here. During the hotter months, many residents keep their shutters and blinds closed to keep their homes cool, and it’s important to respect their privacy while taking photos. I think this spot would be even more enjoyable in the spring or fall, or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.
Overall, Rue Crémieux is a pleasant place to visit for a few photos and a short stroll, as long as you go in with realistic expectations.
