点评：My experience was somewhere between poor and average.
We had a great experience in the store at The Gold Mine. The staff was kind and a pleasure to work with—Sonya in particular was very sweet. She and Shawn helped me choose a ring and emphasized that I was getting 70–80% off retail, which sounded like an amazing deal.
I’m still happy with the ring itself. However, my experience after the purchase was disappointing.
I paid $1,995 for a tanzanite and diamond ring. When the appraisal arrived a week later, the value was listed as $2,995. That’s roughly a 33% difference, not the 70–80% discount that was presented. That discrepancy was frustrating and confusing.
I reached out to the store multiple times via email to ask for clarification, but did not receive a response. After following up several times, I finally called. I was told again that the “70–80% off” includes things like duty, taxes, and retail markup. There is no way a ring with a $2,995 appraisal value would be priced at $7,000+. I was told someone would look into it, but I never heard back.
In-store, the service was excellent. Post-sale, communication and follow-up were lacking.
Bottom line: Enjoy the experience, but be cautious with how “discounts” are presented. You may get a fair price—but not necessarily the extraordinary deal that’s implied.
