We booked a sunset cruise with KHK aboard the 'Movin' On' sailboat on Monday, September 11. After successfully rescheduling the reservation I made with KHK, I went ahead and rescheduled another activity so that we could do that Monday evening since the sunset sail had been moved to Wednesday.
An hour after I received the confirmation email from KHK confirming our reservation had been rescheduled, I received a call from a different KHK representative who gave me some most unfortunate news. She informed me the captain of the boat would not honor the rescheduled reservation (yes, the reservation they confirmed via email). I spoke with her about the unfortunate circumstances my fiancé and I encountered (the airline lost our luggage and it had still not arrived) to which she replied we should 'go shopping' (we'd already spent the last two days shopping for essentials and 'bare minimum' clothing).
I spoke with the rep for several minutes and we could not come to a favorable solution, thus our reservation was forcibly changed back by KHK to Monday and we were not able to attend the activity. I asked her to let the captain and his mate know we would not be sailing that evening, to spend our $200 wisely, and that we would be 'Movin' On' to another sailboat when we come back to OBX next year.
My frustration with this experience lies with the KHK representative sending me a confirmation email verifying the rescheduling of our reservation, then suddenly having that confirmation reversed within the hour with absolutely no recourse. I was very confused as to why the initial representative I spoke with was overridden by the captain on the confirmation email she had already provided.
