新加坡大众捷运系统（SMRT）的点评
点评：Spent 40 hours in Singapore based out of V Hotel Lavendar. Location chosen as its on top of the MRT and close to Changi Airport by MRT. The MRT is a train service on steroids. We chose to use MRT to get from Changi to our airport (last train out of the airport was 2315 hours) because the transfer cost was going to be 85 British Pounds for two. With a train leaving Changi every 15 minutes or so and costing around S$4.00 each it was a no brainer.
Very reliable, use contact payment for best result, and an e-money currency card for even better cost savings. We used Wise loaded with S$.
With the MRT route map downloaded, we found our way around Singapore reasonable easy. Over the 40 hours, we took about a dozen trips on MRT, most trips required getting off one train and getting on another (see map showing the colour rotes). This was seamless with a train arriving within 10 minutes. Each station has really useful maps and the trains have station maps that interact with the location relative to the stations coming up.
Not one drama, hassle, breakdown or late train. The network is really busy; however, we never had any issues getting on a train.
