Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club的点评
点评：Very disappointing – don’t waste your money
I would strongly recommend thinking twice before spending your money here.
We were a four-ball of four players and paid £615 in total for our round, including the green fees and buggies. That is a significant amount of money. When we booked our tee time, we were told the course was playing well. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not our experience.
The course was in an awful condition. There were large areas that were badly damaged, bare and extremely difficult to play. In places, I would honestly describe the course as unplayable. The ground was so uneven, bumpy and badly damaged that it was ridiculous trying to play a proper game of golf. At times, it felt like we were just trying to find a decent piece of ground from which to hit the ball.
The condition of the fairways, greens and areas around the greens was nowhere near what I would expect when paying this sort of money.
I have attached photographs so people can see for themselves exactly what the course looked like on the day we played. These aren’t photographs from somebody else’s experience or from another time — these show the condition of the course when our four-ball played it.
To make matters worse, when we finished our round, the clubhouse was closed, so there wasn’t even an opportunity to speak to anyone face-to-face about our experience.
The following day I contacted the club and was asked to speak with the manager. I then emailed him with photographs and videos showing the condition of the course. I was told that the matter would be discussed at a committee meeting and that I would be contacted afterwards.
That never happened.
I subsequently sent three or four further emails and also made several telephone calls. I was repeatedly told that someone would get back to me, but nobody did. Eventually, it felt as though I was simply being ignored.
For me, this isn’t just about the condition of the golf course. Things can happen with a course and I understand that maintaining a golf course isn’t easy. What I find completely unacceptable is the lack of customer service afterwards. When four people have spent £615 and take the time to raise a genuine complaint, the very least we should receive is a response.
Instead, I was promised calls that never came, sent emails that weren’t properly answered, and was left feeling completely ignored.
I am genuinely gutted that we spent that amount of money on what turned out to be such a disappointing day. Based on my experience, I certainly wouldn’t return, and I would personally advise other golfers to think very carefully before spending their money here.
Keep your money in your pockets and don’t bother.
