Sywell Aviation Museum的点评
点评：What has taken me so long to come to this place it’s on my doorstep after all.
I took my grandson who’s seven as he loves his History and anything to do with planes. The Museum is set within the grounds of Sywell Aerodrome so you get two experiences in one watching the goings on by at the aerodrome we were treated to seeing the spitfire taking off which pleased my grandson.
The Museum is an Aladdin’s cave crammed full of exhibits and interesting accounts of the aviation and military history of the area with plenty to see all around and you have to look all around you and up and down to see everything. Wonderfull stories of the people from the Northamptonshire and what they experienced in the Second World War and times gone past to satisfy the most knowledgeable of historians.
The volunteers are well versed and can talk you through the exhibits for further information and bringing the stories to live. It is free but self funded and is well worth opening your pockets to help with their funding.
It won’t be long before we return and I know I will see something I missed last time keeping the visit fresh.
My grandson left with an airfix model and batch so he was happy dying to get home to build his plane.
Time for a nice coffee from the bar watching the planes and helicopters coming and going before returning home
