Great buses and tours, don’t book hotel through them!

点评：The Sapa Express service itself was great, can’t fault it. Comfortable buses, good service, reasonable prices.
However, I would advise against booking a package experience through the Sapa Express website due to the hotel that is given as accommodation. We booked the one night stay with tours of Cat Cat Village and Ta Phin. Our tours were great, led by a local village girl called Ya who was helpful and spoke English well.
The hotel, which was called Golden Villa, was horrible. Covered in black mould, bathroom door rotted due to water damage, rats heard in the air vents, and noisy hallways from early in the morning. Really appalling standards of hygiene and I did get sick whilst I was there although I cannot say for sure if this was because of the hotel’s food. I will say that reception was very helpful in getting me medicine for my sickness but that’s about the only positive. Book Sapa Express for sure, but not the package Sapa stay that the website offers.
