A golf course to be recommended - including welcome and quality of clubhouse

点评：What a lovely course! Our welcome was excellent - with a good explanation of the quirkiness of the course - 1st 9 on one set of tees, 2nd 9 on different tees to the same greens. This did prove challenging when reading the map - but absolutely fine. The course was in very good condition - with good greens. We would certainly return and do 18 holes whilst recognising the different tees. It should be noted that, given the proximity to the river and the town, there were a lot of walkers, some with dogs, who on occasion did not recognise where golfers were. Given the proximity of the holes one with another, care had to be taken too to recognise where other golfers were. Nevertheless, a lovely afternoon of leisurely golf on our holiday. We did not have an opportunity to test out the catering in the new clubhouse - but given everything else, I am sure it would be very good.
