点评：After a few attempts to book via the website and email, I got a reply a couple of days before I was due to arrive. I requested the boat transfer and a homestay and was assured all was booked for me. If you book the boat transfer you might find it helpful to know that the meeting point is the small shop right by the eastern side of the bridge. When you arrive at Chi Phat it is useful to know that the eco tourist office is around 200 metres along and up the (only) road. I would recommend booking accommodation independently, Cinnamon Cottages, with its lively bar and restaurant on the main street, being the best place. My homestay was essential a bedroom in a concrete addition to a seamstress's / hairdresser's house. I didn't have any real contact with my host. Rather than eating at the eco tourist centre the whole time, I recommend eating in some of the other small restaurants in the village, including Cinnamon Cottages.
The centre's main function is activities: whole day hikes, overnight hikes, mountain biking kayaking, etc. These are facilitated by local guides who, while speaking reasonable English and being personable, have a sometimes limited knowledge of the flora, fauna and birds you might encounter.
The village people are friendly, especially the children who are keen to practice their English, and has a life of its own beyond tourism, which is interesting to observe.
The centre's main function is activities: whole day hikes, overnight hikes, mountain biking kayaking, etc. These are facilitated by local guides who, while speaking reasonable English and being personable, have a sometimes limited knowledge of the flora, fauna and birds you might encounter.
