Caister Lifeboat Station Visitors Centre的点评
点评：Mum lives at a nearby care-home and this is a great site to go to sometimes when I visit and take her out. The cafe has a lift and very good accessible loo, as well as other loo facilities, plus the cafe is on a mezzanine around the actual lifeboat station- so you can see the lifeboat at all times and I have been lucky enough to be there on an occasion it was moved outside for maintenance. The cafe /bistro is excellent, with an excellent range of lovely breakfast/brunchy stuff and than from 12 to 2.30, lunch dishes. Also cakes/sandwiches/toasties/wraps. Food is very nice quality and well priced and very generous portions. Staff are lovely and there is always a very nice buzz and friendly atmosphere. Perfect for families of all generations. Next door is the gift shop, which has some very nice items that are reasonably priced - plus friendly volunteers who are very knowledgeable about the site. The museum- in the old life-boat station just across the way - is a delight - again with very knowledgeable volunteers who will tell you so much of importance to the site and the service. Museum closes over the winter so check dates- it is closed atm but think it re-opens in April. All in all a lovely place to visit. The parking is free from Oct to end of March - but check the parking board in case this changes. Modest fees in the spring/summer season.
The whole place is dog friendly - mum adores dogs, so that is extra nice. The staff in the gift shop and the museum also have regular canine visitors who rock up for a treat when on their walks!

that it is an independent life boat station.
