点评:I visited here late afternoon and spent around two hours exploring the market and riverfront.
It was fairly quiet and no crowds but when I went it was constantly raining.
I found that the items on sale were reasonably priced and some of the souvenir type items were a lot cheaper than other parts of Thailand (i.e. Phuket).
I bought some clothing, footwear and some snacks.
I had a walk down the riverfront and then went up the Nong Khai Walking Street viewing platform (not that high) where can get a better view of the area.
There is parking available and I parked by the riverfront near the Naga Statue/ temple.
The food market was setting up just as I was about to leave.
I did want to grab some food from there but was difficult as the smallest notes I had left were 1000 baht and the stall workers could not take them (I think it was due to them not being in a position to provide change for that note as food market was just setting up).
If I go here again I will make sure I have smaller notes.
