Informative visitor center plus a planetarium.
Golden Pond Visitor Center的点评
点评：There are two sections to the visitor center. The visitor center itself has displays about the history and wildlife of the Land Between The Lakes area. There are bathrooms, a help desk, a large rack of maps and pamphlets for the area, and a small gift shop. I found the displays to be well organized and informative.
The second part of the visitor center is the planetarium. There are shows every hours about astronomical phenomena. The one I saw was on meteors. Sometimes there are laser light shows set to music. When I went they had a Queen show and a Taylor Swift show. The Queen show was great and the laser designs matched the music well. I don't recall the fee for the planetarium, but I believe it was $7, so not very expensive.
There is an actual observatory with a telescope around 50 feet or so behind the visitor center, but I don't know anything about it. I believe they have some programs out there sometimes. The night sky would be amazing due to the lack of light pollution.
If you're staying at Land Between The Lakes, you should visit the visitor center.
