点评:This is a wonderful place . The industrial architecture is amazing , you really get a feel of the old mine works . We visited midweek so no volunteers about but we used the info on the website & followed the map . We spent 2 & 1/2 hours wandering around & really enjoyed ourselves . There is some uphill but we are both in our late seventies & moderately fit - no problem . The engineering side is explained very well , perhaps some info on the daily life of the workers would have been nice ? Maybe there isn’t much known about these hard working folk ? Nevertheless the museum is a real credit to all those involved . What surprised me the most was how beautiful it was . The old stone , brick & metal climbing the hill , with forest all around & nature softening all the edges . Wildflowers thriving - so many cowslips - & ivy creeping up the walls . Plus the birdsong . It was a real joy to visit . Thank you for making it possible .
