We drove almost an hour on rough gravel roads specifically to visit L'Abri Brewery after seeing so many positive reviews and recommendations. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it appeared that the brewery and restaurant were no longer operating as advertised.
The property looked more like a small informal shop than a functioning brewery. We were greeted by several dogs roaming around, but there was no clear indication that the brewery was open or operating. After the long drive, we were extremely frustrated and disappointed, especially because this was one of the attractions we were most looking forward to visiting in the Bela-Bela area.
If the business has closed, changed ownership, or no longer offers the experience described online, this should be updated on its website and tourism platforms to prevent other visitors from wasting time and fuel travelling there.
Sadly, our experience did not match the expectations created by the reviews, and we left feeling very disappointed.
