点评:After being to a number of top quality concerts in Venice, this one was very disappointing. The tickets were pricey at €46 for a front position. Sadly it wasn’t worth the money. The musicians in the first half were very mediocre and had obviously not rehearsed together at all - they lacked cohesion and there were many mistakes. The bass player seemed incapable and looked like she was as shocked to find herself on stage as the audience were. The second half - the music was rescued by a different violinist who turned up to play Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. He was brilliant, sadly the same cannot be said at all for the others.
The venue doesn’t have a mobile phone policy - so throughout there are many people texting, browsing their phones and not paying any attention at all. It was hard to understand why they had come along.
Children were the final issue. While most are well behaved, there always has to be a few that talk loudly throughout and make a big enough disturbance to have people turning around and being distracted. Two naughty children were finally marched out by their embarrassed Mum
All in all I would never go back to this venture. It was a complete waste of money. There are
Fabulous concerts in other parts of the city.
