Great stores dimmed by predatory parking practices

点评：Great stores and restaurants, but HORRIFIC parking situation! I let my wife off at one of the store entrances and then parked in the surface pay lot. I payed the online parking service (LAZ parking) while one of the parking enforcement officers watched. A disturbed homeless gentleman walked through the parking lot and was violently stabbing his shoe with a big knife. I went into the store to warn my wife, and then told the Ponce security officer. He was familiar with the man and nicely said they would make sure he didn’t harm anyone. Then I walked back to my car and we had a ticket. I showed the parking service officer my payment receipt and said I paid so I shouldn’t have a ticket. She told me the citation was for reverse parking. I said she watched me park and didn’t say anything. She said it wasn’t her job to inform people only to write tickets. Other cars had backed in but didn’t get tickets. So I disputed the $30 parking citation to the company. They said my appeal was declined because the citation is valid. It’s a shame that predatory parking practices and an unsafe environment can ruin a trip to a unique venue. I’m posting my experience to warn others - Ponce City Market is great but their parking service vendor is AWFUL!
