点评：I would rate the experience as good but slightly disappointed with the lack of a connection with the organizer. My spouse and I did a customized private wine tour to Langhe Valley with transport pick-up from our hotel in Turin and back. The driver was punctual, courteous and has good driving skills. He introduced himself as a driver (Marco is his name). He did not run the program for the day with us (though a brief itinerary was sent to us by email, I thought it was just customary and a personal touch to just summarize the day’s activities). He drove us directly to the first winery. There was no bottled water in the car which I normally expect for a day trip. On arrival, no mention of the name of the winery by the driver, a lady from the winery greeted us. We enjoyed the experience with her and she was led us to a garden to try 4 wines. Thereafter, the driver dropped us at Barolo town and pointed at a castle and said we can follow the road to the castle and find a place for lunch. I asked for some suggestions and he shrugged his shoulders. There were only 3 restaurants opened that day in that area and we had a quick lunch- nothing to shout about, definitely nothing to our expectation. The second winery was in Barolo and is a bigger company and we had a good experience with the gentleman who brought us around and let us try more wines than the 4 we were supposed to have. Then the driver picked us up and sent us back to our hotel in Turin. I think the company Meet Piedmonte failed to convey a personal touch with us for the day. No doubt the choices of wineries were good but our day was like an assembled sandwich with good ingredients served cold and with no personal touch at all. I’m giving this review having had experiences from a number of wine tours.
