Import museum tour to get to know Ipoh's history

点评：I knew about the museum before but only checked out their website the night before to realize that you need to book a tour way in advance. Naturally, there was no more availability in the one slot offered in the morning. I emailed them in the morning to ask if they could somehow squeeze another 4 people in for our last day in Ipoh, and Leong was wonderful to fit us in!
The tour was in English and took about an hour. Free to enter but donation appreciated. It's not a very big museum and the displays were a little worn out, but with Leong's engaging, humorous and informative explanation and stories, the building and the past of Ipoh came to life. He was very attentive, arranging the guests by height to make sure everybody could see the displays.
I left feeling that I had a better context of this town. Thank you Leong!
P.S. Do combine this museum with Ho Yan Hor Museum and 22 Hale Street for a more complete picture of Chinese immigrants' history in Ipoh.
