点评:We went on a PSLE marking day, so it was weekday and the crowd was manageable with some school groups coming in around 11am or so. There was no queue to enter when the place opened at 10am. Pre-register your face following instructions on email after payment, for facial recognition entry. We were informed that we may re-enter throughout the day, thus no longer single entry as noted in earlier reviews.
Following the earlier reviews, we headed straight to the pilot experience once we entered, and many others were there, probably also having read the reviews. This was now a 'paid' experience as the kids had to fork out 13 kidzo dollars (from their starting stash of 50 kidzo dollars) for this experience. Most kids who heard it gave a gasp and wanted to leave for other activities. When told that the cabin crew experience at the same venue cost 6 kidzo dollars, one of the kids promptly declared that he would go for that instead. Throughout the day, we passed this stop and there weren't the queues that we have been warned of in earlier reviews, probably the 'cost' of it deterred the kids from this activity.
Other activities that cost kidzo dollars usually meant that there was something to 'take home'. These include the smoothie factory (15 kidzo dollars to get a smoothie), sustainability station (6 kidzo dollars to bring home a small cup with beans to grow at home), bracelet making (didnt check out the cost as we weren't interested).
Food related activities were paid with cash or card. There was burger making ($14 for beef burger, $16 for chicken burger) from Ye Olde Cow - this was really good quality beef patty. They sold burgers and meals if you wanted the burger without the making part. There was also pizza making that had a longer queue.
Some of the activities that kids could come away with something included the Yakult science lab (a bottle of yakult), Irvin's fish skin snack (small pack of snack), ICA station (activity book with colour pencils). The rest of the activities typically earned the kids 6-10 kidzo dollars each. The 'shop' for kids to spend their kidzo dollars included items starting from 60 kidzo dollars for an eraser.
There was a paid coffee machine station and many snack vending machines around. No water cooler so bring your own water.
The place is best suited for 5-8 year old kids. There were a few stations that required a minimum age of 8. Otherwise most activities were marked for 4 years and above.
We managed to complete more than 20 activities with time to spare. There should be enough time to finish all stations on a day with similar crowd. Pack some snacks, water, and be ready for a fun day in this well-designed mini-town!
