点评:After hearing so much hype about Freedom Beach, my partner and I decided to visit as our resort (Avista Hideaway) was right next door.
As we were visiting in low season, there was no shuttle buggy service available to take us down to the beach.
In scorching 32 degree heat and blazing sunshine we began the almost vertical trek down the "path" to the beach.
Advice: Wear proper trainers or running shoes to avoid pain and to maintain a grip on the steep "path".
Sweating like pigs we eventually made it down to the sand which (in bare feet) felt like we were walking on bubbling lava!
We did have a swim in the spakling blue ocean and had a cool drink beneath the trees at the bar at the end of the beach.
But it was way to hot to stay for an extended time, so we then did the trek back up the verticle hillside.
We arrived back at the top (approx 20 minutes later) and were hotter and sweatier than when we first arrived!
Being from Australia, I feel I must be honest and say that we have many more beautiful beaches than Freedom Beach.
However, if you are in Phuket, you must at least see it for yourself - it is a beautiful piece of Thai coastline.
