Instead, select "Ayyana Kere View Point." This leads you to the actual destination with a defined parking lot and a short walk to the beautiful lake overflow channel.
The lake is vast and the views are stunning. There is a small park and a few shops selling fruits and snacks. I visited on a Sunday, and it was surprisingly not too crowded. While it's a great spot for families and kids, the maintenance is unfortunately lacking.
The area is overgrown with bushes, which can feel a bit unsafe, and there is no security or watchman near the overflow area. The lack of basic facilities like clean toilets and drinking water is a major downside, and the smell near certain areas is quite pungent due to public urination. I really hope the authorities invest in better maintenance and gardening, as this place has so much potential to be a top-tier tourist destination.
