点评:I took this trip with fellow travelers on my tour group. Scenery was spectacular and the guides were wonderful. They supplied everything right down to straps for your glasses so you wouldn’t lose them! I decided on a wet suit just for extra warmth- water on our visit was somewhat shallow so no danger of getting submerged.
The caveat: it was work! I’m 73 and the other 3 people were 83. One woman on our raft (and others in the group) found their door wide position of sitting on the side and trying to row too painful for her back-so only 3 of us and the guide rowed. The guide directed us when to paddle forward or backwards and when to stop and skillfully got us off of rocks and through rapids.
They discourage you from bringing a phone that could fall overboard (free lockers available) but the guide takes pictures and sends them later at no additional cost.
But the scenery- ah, the scenery. Giant, complex rock formations on either side, the occasional cormorant, smaller birds, sunlight playing on the distant mountains. Everyone, even those of us who found it harder work than expected, agreed we’d do it all over again.
I do, however, plan to tell our tour company (not Hellas) that their description of the trip as a “leisurely ride” needs to be changed!
