The Menalon Trail的点评
点评：A tough trek, rated moderate but I'm giving it a challenging rating!
It's not technically difficult, as in you don't need mountain experience, but you definitely need a level of fitness and agility.
Some markings can be confusing - use a secondary app like All Trails or similar for when you need to double check, but also don't rely on All Trails as sometimes it will send you away from the official trail. There are three different colours of markings - make sure you read up on each section on the official website beforehand so that you don't get lost when you accidentally follow one colour M sign when you should have switched to another! It will depend on your destination of course but bear in mind there are many alternative routes.
We did it in 5 days skipping two stages: in and out of Nymphasia - looking back I would have probably skipped the sections in and out of Zygovisti. I liked them but the scenery can be a bit samey and we did both stages in one day so were exhausted by the time we got to Elati.
Final stage is stunning - do not skip! But be prepared, it is definitely a 4/5 in difficulty rather than the 2/5 it's reported as 😅
