Wild Ocean Tasmania的点评
点评：This was my second ocean safari experience with Wild Ocean Tasmania and once again, it was awe-inspiring. Damien ('Damo') is the equivalent of a Steve Irwin of the sea. He is so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and goes the extra length to ensure that his passengers are treated to a unique and memorable boat ride experience. He 'reads' the sea with such extraordinary attentiveness and can spot the spray of a humpback whale from a vast distance. We were blessed with unusually calm waters on the day of our boat ride, and Damo was able to gently steer us into the open mouths of caves and inlets. We watched seals resting on the rocks, and diving and frolicking in the clear, glossy water. We saw a variety of magnificent sea birds, including an albatross circling above, and as incredible as it sounds, we got up close with three majestic humpback whales. We learnt so much about the ecology of the sea and the formations of the rocks and caves along Tasmania's stunning rugged coastline. I cannot truly capture the privilege of being on this boat with this legend. Everyone needs a dose of Damo to remind them about the importance of protecting our planet and ultimately ourselves. It is so clear that Damien and his partner Susie are not in this industry for any financial gain. They are deeply and ethically invested in doing what they can to make a positive impact with their small business. When they are not operating their boat ride tours, they rescue orphaned wombats and other injured animals at their own expense and they fundraise to support the homeless. Such humble people doing all they can to make a difference. Do yourself a favour and book yourself and those you love a boat ride with Damo. You will thank yourself and you will disembark the small boat with an overwhelming feeling of privilege and gratitude.
