点评：If you want a personalised tour of the less busy top end wineries around Stellenbosch choose Andre Conradie . He is a terrifically engaging host and will ensure that you understand the history of the development of the wine areas as well as the ranges that each winery specialises in. He outlines the clear distinction between quality and quantity in this enormous area which has big commercial corporates as well as smaller artisan producers. He knows them all and they know him so you get great service; his enthusiasm and love of South African wines is infections. This is his homeland and he grew up in the area so we felt terrifically privileged to spend the day with him. At the end of the wine tasting part of the experience he took us to a little touch of paradise in a private area of the Jonkershoek where we enjoyed a stupendously delicious braai by the river-boerewors and lamb chops and a delicious salad and toasted cheese and a bottle of red from Kanonkop estate.We then drove into Stellenbosch and had a little walk around this gorgeous university town and had time for a delicious ice cream, before he dropped us back to our Franschhoek guest house, tired and happy and with a welcome gift of wine . I've visited vineyards in almost every continent over the last thirty years ( apart from SA ), and Andre is truly one of the best and brings a real insiders expertise, we talked about everything and he devoted more than 9 hours of his time to us and never seemed rushed. Thank you Andre from both my wife and I - she sourced this tour for me and I am very pleased indeed.
