Ultimate Dog Sledding Experience的点评
点评：what am amazing experience! I have wanted to do this for years and would forget to plan ahead so it was booked up by the week we were there for our ski vacation. Being the only non-skier in a family of skiers I finally got to feel the cold wind on my face going 30mph through the forest! Wow...what a rush! From the second Alex yelled go to his team of beautiful sled dogs until we arrived back at base camp 45 minutes later it was like a dream. The beauty of the snow-covered trees, watching the dogs work like a well-oiled machine, and leaning into the arms of my son, sharing this with him was the best part of this experience. You see, my son has a physical disability so without these well trained four-legged, furry athletes this kind of activity would preclude him from enjoying the wintry wonderland.
This was definitely the highlight of our vacation in Maine this season. Getting to go into the yurt and enjoy hot chocolate while loving on some other dogs that were resting up for later was fun too. To see them just lying around waiting on pets and snacks like a regular dog was funny. At the end of the day, they're just like my dog back home, they really just want to please you and be rewarded with a treat and scratch behind the ears.
What Alex and his family have here with this well-trained team of sled dogs is really special. I think he told me his dad helped him start this business at 18 yrs old and that was about 20 years ago. The love and experience of this family-owned business is quite evident.
