Nice Cenote with clean water but expensive for what you get.

点评：It’s a nice little open air cenote but it is expensive and feels like a bit of a rip-off at 400 pesos per person, including children (children under 5 are free). While the surroundings are pretty nice and does have 2 swimming pools, people are mainly coming for the one small cenote. Life jackets are included with the price, but the life jackets are old and not so well-maintained as other Cenotes we have been to during our trip. For the price this cenote charges, lockers/towels or snorkels should be included, but it isn’t.
The cenote waters itself are extremely clear and has a ton of fish; there’s even a small cave area too. However, the cenote allows jumping from multiple platforms and zip line diving, and with its small size, it’s hard to enjoy and find the space to swim in peace.
While this is a pretty cenote and has beautiful surrounding; it is small and expensive for what you are paying and due to people diving all over your head, it’s hard to enjoy the experience.
TIPS:
- they accept card payments unlike other Cenotes
- Carwash cenote is right next door
- Use the bathrooms that are at the very back of the facility; those are clean unlike other bathrooms onsite.
- The change rooms aren’t very clean I saw.
- The showers barely have water pressure
- Eat elsewhere as the food and drinks are expensive and we heard other travellers there complaining of the high price of beer.
