Interesting Tibet Tour incl. Kora

点评：In June I did the 16day Tibet tour.
The booking was a little complicated as my travel agent would only answer 1 question per mail, no matter how many I asked. Also, I was told one could rent or borrow stuff (like a headlamp). Well no, you had to buy everything. Wasn't a problem as there are lots of shops selling the necessary gear for the Kora, but would have been nice to know in advance.
Unfortunately, the payment as european was a bit inconvenient 4% bank fee + PayPal fee.... that adds up. As I found out later, people with a different travel agent could use direkt bank transfer and didn't have to pay the extra PayPal fee.
As for the tour, it was wonderful. Thanks to our lovely guide Tserina everything went smoothly. We saw lots of beautiful landscape, wild animals and all the interesting spots for someone visiting Tibet the first time. The highlight of the tour was the Kora. The group was a bit confused on how things will be there, but everything worked out just fine. Tserina organised the porters the day before we left. At the beginning everybody received 2 bottels of oxygen and water. During the Kora buying more water or oxygen was no problem. Free hot water was available at every tea house. Most tea houses even accepted Weixin pay. The most adventorous part were the toilets. Also, almost no water to wash your hands or face or brush your teeth was available. To me it was a quite unique experience.
The group sice of 7 was very convenient. We had lots of space in our 15 people bus.
All in all a very nice trip I can recommend, but as european you should be aware of all the extra fees that might appear. In total I payed 3039 USD excl. transfer fees incl. single room supplement (450 USD) for the tour. Extra fees were around 8% on top.

至于旅行本身，真是太棒了。多亏了我们可爱的导游次仁娜，一切都很顺利。我们看到了许多美丽的风景、野生动物，以及所有对于第一次来西藏的人来说都非常有趣的地方。这次旅行的亮点是转山。团员们一开始对转山的情况有点摸不着头脑，但最终一切都很顺利。出发前一天，Tserina就安排好了搬运工。出发时，每个人都领到了两瓶氧气和水。转山途中，购买氧气或水都很方便。每家茶馆都提供免费热水，而且大多数茶馆都接受微信支付。最“冒险”的部分是厕所。几乎没有水可以洗手、洗脸或刷牙。对我来说，这是一次非常独特的体验。
7人一组的团队非常舒适。我们乘坐的15人巴士空间很宽敞。
总而言之，这是一次非常棒的旅行，我强烈推荐。但作为欧洲游客，您应该注意可能出现的额外费用。我总共支付了3039美元，不包括接送费和单人房附加费（450美元）。额外费用大约是总价的8%。
