点评：Mannavanur is a quaint village, about 34 km from Kodaikanal which has now become a major tourist attraction because of the majestic “Mannvanur lake” it preserves between the valley of the surrounding mountains.
This is a freshwater lake, placed perfectly amidst the rolling hills of the Nilgiris.
Mannavanur lake is a serene place which resembles the paradise that one imagines in the dream.
The shores of Munnavur lake are home to a wide variety of fish and birds which makes it a prime spot.
Because of its remoteness, the lake is not affected by the Kodaikanal’s tourist rush.
We can enjoy the calmness of this wonderland without any disturbance.
This lake is mainly visited for its calm water views, open grassland surroundings, and relaxed nature stops during a countryside drive.
It has spacious and rural surroundings with wide meadows, cool hill air etc.
The lake-side area is peaceful with visitors spending time walking and sitting near the shoreline viewpoints.
Mannavanur lake also offers activities like boating, coracle riding, ziplining, horse riding etc for the visitors to enjoy.
