点评：The Stonehenge Replica on the University of Texas Permian Basin campus is exactly the kind of unusual roadside discovery that makes traveling through West Texas more memorable.
There is something wonderfully surreal about encountering one of the world’s most recognizable ancient monuments recreated against the huge open skies of Odessa. You can walk around the entire structure, get close to the stones, and photograph it from numerous angles.
It does not require a long visit, but that is part of the appeal. It is free, easily accessible, and makes for an entertaining break while exploring the area or passing through on a road trip.
The contrast between ancient British inspiration and the West Texas landscape gives the site a personality all its own. A fun, distinctive attraction that I am very glad I stopped to see.
