Highlight of our trip to Tromsø

点评：We LOVED our husky sledding experience with Northern Light Dog Adventures and would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!
We originally booked dogsledding on wheels via their website as we were visiting Tromso in mid November, and there isn’t a guarantee of snow that early. We were lucky that the snow started a few days before our arrival and so our experience changed to being in the sleds.
We were picked up promptly at 10am by Aaron in Tromso city centre who drove us to the farm, about 1 hour away.
The drive was beautiful through fjords and mountains and he told us a lot about growing up in the mountains, the farm and Norwegian culture. The hour passed very quickly and when we arrived we met Anna who gave us snowsuits and boots which kept us very warm (we didn’t feel cold once, either as passengers or drivers).
The husky sledding was amazing! Before going sledding, Anna showed us how to operate the sled. Including how to safely crash and stop the dogs.
To get used to the experience we were first driven as a passenger by Aaron and Anna and then tried being mushers ourselves. It was so much fun and the landscape was breathtaking - going uphill, downhill, over rivers etc.
After the husky sledding, we got to pet all the huskies and see the puppies who were all so friendly and well behaved. We also watched them be fed and had a lovely hot chocolate with Aaron and Anna.
They told us a lot about their experience dogracing, how it is it to have a husky farm and about their family history (Thomas has been doing it for 30 years so they’re very experienced).
They’re a small family business consisting of Anna, Aaron and Thomas and we truly felt like we were friends visiting them. They made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond.
It was without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to Tromso and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hospitality and kindness.

哈士奇雪橇体验结束后，我们有机会抚摸所有的哈士奇，还看到了那些非常友好乖巧的小狗。我们也观看了喂食过程，并和Aaron、Anna一起享用了美味的热巧克力。
