点评：Visited early on an extremely cold morning to photograph sunrise and the crane takeoff. While it’s absolutely a worthwhile stop, a few notes for future visitors: the website’s camera angle is a bit misleading — it’s not positioned where the public can stand and makes the flock look larger and closer than it actually is. The cranes were much farther away than anticipated, making photography more challenging.
Still, it’s a peaceful and scenic place to experience the sound and movement of the birds. Important tip: GPS will take you past the last turnoff, so keep an eye out. If you’re arriving before sunrise, bring a flashlight — it’s very dark out there. Too cold during our visit to worry about bugs, despite what others mentioned.
A beautiful spot, just manage expectations if you’re coming specifically for close-up photography.
