Dont use Public Transport to go to Gumbuya World

点评：We recently travelled to Melbourne as a family and decided to try Gumbuya World. We purchased a 14 day pass as it seemed the best value, and as we were staying in the city, decided to use public transport for our trip. I would not recommend anyone uses public transport to access Gumbuya world. We travelled by train for just over an hour and got off at the suggested stop of Tynong. There is nothing at Tynong except a Post office and Cafe (staff were amazing). We then waited 45mins for a pre-booked ride to arrive to take us to the park. (staff from the post office told us this is a constant issued) We arrived finally around 12:30pm. Only half the rides were operating, and only some of the waterpark. The best slides were closed for the day, the wave pool was closed. All the food outlets accept 1 were closed and the drink fridge had Coke and water - all other options were sold out. Had we known half the stuff was closed, we would not have paid huge $$ for our tickets.
Unfortunately at 2:40pm the rain came and the rest of the park was then closed for safety. So it was a very expensive 2hrs at the park as there was no way we were going to return another day to experience the transport issues again.
The park itself looked nice - its small and the ride wait times were not too long, but a real shame we couldn't try them all, or the slides.
To anyone looking to travel by public transport, go to the Garfield station as there are more options there (still very limited). Gumbuya World should offer a shuttle (even if there is a small cost for it) to and from the train station.
