点评：Visited following recommendation from family member. Excellent choice especially as she chauffeured us there and back. It's a short journey from Tunbridge Wells along narrow country lanes in places and passing many houses miles outside our price range.
Fortunately the pub prices didn't break the bank. The wines are slightly on the expensive side but there are many to consider. The food is terrific value given the talent.of the chef etc. Steak cooked medium but quality beef, juicy and generous. My whole bass cooker 'en papillote '🤔 was huge, delicious and cooked on point. The backbone lifted away from the flesh perfectly. The skill in the execution of the potato also impressed. Cut as in 'dauphinois' then pressed and weighted down and cut into slabs. Yummy.
We fought over our shared starter of tiger prawns and for dessert had vanilla and honeycomb ice cream.
Service throughout was 5*+. Attentive, interested and helpful as one person was gluten intolerant. Definitely worth treating yourself to a meal here for a pub setting with restaurant quality food and drink.
