点评:This museum was one of the highlights of my trip to France because a member of the front desk staff, who is also an advanced archeology student, offered (unbidden) to give my teen daughter and I a long personalized tour of the collection. We recieved a high quality overview of French history from pre-history to the late middle ages, gaining a much deeper appreciation of the objects in the small collection than we would have otherwise. I absolutely loved the chance to hear French history from a subtly different perspective than the Anglophone-centric version I learned in school -- and from a specialist who understood the collection intimately. I consider myself fairly knowledgable about European history, and I learned several new things from this generous tour guide. The only downside is that we took a public bus from CDG, but then realized that the return bus route was not direct. This stressed my husband out and we ended up taking an expensive taxi back. But I'm so glad we used our final afternoon in France this way. This place was memorable!
