Wonderful walk in lush environment - colourful birds and plants

点评：I visited Parque das Aves after visiting the Brazil side of Iguazu Falls. The bird park has multiple enclosures - some very large ones, where the birds are kept and are free to fly. Each enclosure has a colourful banner display that informs which bird species are housed there. The complex is well maintained and looks lush and natural - beautiful - lots of shade trees - welcome on the hot day I visited. So many colourful birds, so much bird song. I didn't see a toucan in the wild so appreciated seeing two species here. A highlight was the macaws, especially the blue macaw. Only saw one amongst the many in the enclosure and it was a very friendly bird. The staff are located throughout the complex and ensure people don't distress the birds by getting too close. It was a pleasant walk from beginning to end. It was very hot so I didn't stay at each exhibit and record bird names. I saw a harpy eagle and lots of parrots, a lizard, turtles and enjoyed my time here. It was too hot to visit the hummingbird enclosure. Well maintained and worth the visit. Easy but long loop to walk. Enjoy.
