点评:Worth a look inside if you get the opportunity. A smaller cathedral than some others which is due to it starting life as a church, and only got upgraded when Lancaster became a Diocese in 1924. The information boards in strategic areas gave good details and were appreciated.
We were slightly flummoxed on arrival, having paid-and-displayed in the nearby carpark which is directed as the one for Cathedral Parking, but once we got into the visitors lobby a sign said due to the service in progress we couldn't go in and to come back in about an hour. So we wandered off for a coffee nearby and returned, however not long after we'd gone in a number of wedding guests started to arrive and the big doors were opened to let them in. Clearly we weren't going to be welcome during a wedding ceremony or blessing, so we swiftly looked at bits we wanted to and left. Therefore we'd recommend if you are planning on visiting and like time to take in all the feature it would be a good idea to check out the times of services so you can plan your arrival at the best time.
