点评:Looking for a week that will change you — the backpack trip with Canyon Ministries through Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument is for you.
First up: Coyote Gulch. About 6–8 miles a day for three days. We headed down the old pioneer route, passed Jacob’s Arch, wandered under Coyote Natural Bridge, crossed sand dunes, and squeezed through the Crack-in-the-Wall like biscuits in a can.
The star-splashed sky was unreal. I carried a 35-pound pack — roughly 30% of my body weight — and trust me, every step counted. I even ended up on my butt a couple times, but every mile was worth it… and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
This week stretched me, strengthened me, humbled me, and filled me up. The beauty was unreal. The challenge was realer. Felt a bit like grown-up VBS out there — learning, growing, leaning on God, and stepping far beyond the comfy zone.
Slot canyons, desert silence laughter, and moments that cracked my heart open in the best way.
Heading home
