点评：Beau Constantia boutique winery is a slightly flawed gem that sits atop the Constantia Valley. THE GOOD: 1) Location! Incredible views down the valley across suburban Cape Town to thw Hottentots Holland mountains beyond; 2) Modern, beautifully-designed wine tasting facilty makes the most of those views; 3) High-quality wines: interesting, sometimes surprising blends, finely crafted make for excellent food-driven wines; 4) Delectable charcutery and cheese boards. THE BAD: Unacceptably long wait for food to accompany the wine tasting. We waited fifty minutes for one of the afore mentioned charcuterie and cheese boards. It arrived after we had begun tasting our third (out of four) wine, denying us the opportunity to fully appreciate the wine with the food we had ordered to accompany it. I have been to Beau Constantia a total of six times over the last three years with friends from abroad. On each visit, the meat and cheese boards were excruciatingly slow to arrive, marring an otherwise lovely experience. Surely putting together a simple meat and cheese board can be done more expeditiously!?
