点评：- Clean, not-for-profit campground on a super beach area with great staff.
- 41 sites. Some FCFS. Go during the week, if possible. Weekends are BUSY, many families.
- Sites are very small…think ¼ the size of a BC Parks spot, but users are generally very respectful of their neighbours. No hook ups. Dedicated generator times. Fire pit on each site. Room for one vehicle on each site plus your tent or trailer.
- Try to get sites 3-32 (Beach side 19-32, Semi-beach 17-18, Backing onto wooded/quiet area 3-16 (steps from the beach), 15 is shaded but in middle of roundabout, 14 and 16 are best for privacy. Personally, I would avoid sites next to an outhouse (1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 12).
- There is wind in this area…sometimes quite a bit. If tenting, bring long, sturdy tent pegs and a hammer. I had *fun* setting up my tent by myself! The wind does die down in the evening, plus, it keeps many bugs away!
- Pit toilets clean and stocked (but you may want to bring your own cushy TP), garbage, recycling and potable water. No showers or sinks.
- Bring earplugs – the train runs nearby once every half hour (day and night) and can be loud as it crosses the bridge. Plus, dedicated generator times (4 hours/day). There is also a neighbour on private land who played music VERY loudly which can be heard throughout the campsite, especially in sites close to the gatehouse and visitor/day parking lot area.
- Go see Kilby cafe and museum! Great snacks and gifts. Lovely walking trails nearby, too and don’t forget your water toys.
